No Nudes Is Good Nudes

This post over at Woulda Coulda Shoulda sums up my thoughts pretty well. I'm all about freedom but I really don't care to see your naked body parts, in action or not. The post reminded of a time, long ago when I held lingerie parties. Kind of like Tupperware parties but with nighties. It was a part time job to bring in some extra money and, for the most part, I enjoyed it.

I liked the product - nice not sleazy night wear - and I liked being in front of the group selling. We had fun quizzes and I gave away party favors. And I actually made some money. I didn't like that it was usually in the evenings and I didn't like lugging the product around. We had weekly meetings where sale reps would often trade parties. If you booked an event and discovered you were busy, someone else would give the party for you and you'd get a small commission for booking the party.

One day, one of the other reps asked if I could hold one of her parties for a customer she'd given several parties for. As I looked the date up on my calendar and started to agree, she told me she need to warn me the party was not only a female/male party (not common) but it was for a group of nudists. She told me the group typically started out clothed but then people shed their clothes as they tried on the outfits. I immediately declined. After a couple days, she called me back and said the group had agreed there would be no nudity if I would hold the event. I assumed she just couldn't find anyone willing to cover for her and so the concession was made. I agreed to hold the event and it when quite well. No one came out into the party area undressed, though I have no idea what went on in the dressing room area. I made a fair amount of money and the people were all very nice. There was a hot tub in the backyard, and it may have been my imagination, but I felt they couldn't wait for me to take my orders and leave so they could shed their clothes and get in. I didn't wait around to find out.

I've been told most nudists are NOT involved for any sexual reasons, it's more about the 'freedom'. And no one buys Playboy for the pictures either! At any rate, my impression was these people were the last people anyone would ever choose to see naked. They were not in shape, they were not beautiful and they were not young. There wasn't a Brad Pitt or Katherine Zeta Jones among them. I have no idea why they thought it was a good idea to hang around together naked. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Hmmm that is interesting. Loved your playboy comment, and I so agree!

I just don't want them sitting on my furniture.

Ditto John.

I've never heard of a lingerie party like you're describing.

I do think it was unique to Las Vegas. If I remember, it was called Pleasant Dreams. It was fun.
